These photographs and performance reflect a Native American’s personal loss of culture to the point of being culturally naked compared to culturally rich Europe. The Native American Bare-Wolf tells of the loss of culture, illustrates the naked state after the loss of culture and ritually mourns that loss.
What is anti-psychiatry movement and who are its main representatives; what kind of philosophical foundations and views are common for this approach? Does psychiatric illness exist at all? Based on the premise that, in Islam, through the flow of human milk among two babies not biologically connected, a milk relative can be constructed, and drawing on recent ethnographic work done in Barcelona on milk banks and human milk donation to Muslim babies within the context of transnational migration, the aim of this presentation is to give new theoretical anthropological insights into the role of human milk (as food and as a biological bodily fluid) in the construction of a particular type of kinship, known as milk kinship, in Southern Europe.
